‘Working from Home’ – Recent development trends in terraced housing design in a new suburban township in Malaysia

The COVID-19 outbreak has caused a massive increase in the number of Malaysians working from home. This scenario put living and gap at disposal, questioning relevance ‘living lifestyle’, particularly new housing township projects. paper investigates culture home (WFH) its influence on spatial design developer-designed terraced scheme for Suburban Township Malaysia. Using qualitative observation comparative analysis between developer’s buying guide show unit, findings suggest that ‘flexible open volume’ plan created through nooks openings are speculative future promoting Hence, it advocates developers towards double-frontage allows integration living-working lifestyle as everyone works where they live not vice-versa.
